"Howdy folks! My name is Pete and, well, you see that there's my pitcher right up there. Yep, I'm the peddler and the mule is my mule Rosebud. Me and her rode into town t'other day to do a little swappin', tradin' and peddlin'. . ."

It was with these words - or words very similar to them - that the East Texas Peddler was launched all the way back in 1979. Since then, Pete and his mule Rosebud and the Peddler itself have become synonymous with free advertising for personal property across the five counties in Southeast Texas and parts of two parishes in Louisiana that we serve.

Every word in the print edition of the Peddler is reproduced here each week for your convenience. For those who prefer a printed copy to hold in their hand and circle the things that interest them, well, they are still out there. And those 17,500 copies of the Peddler that are distributed each week are also free.
